  2. Hello! I´m here to comment on the post from our Polish project-members!
You gave us a short but brief summary about Finland,Germany and Spain. And as a German , it´s nice to know that our festivals are so popular in other countries and some of you already had the chance to enjoy one of them:"the Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart" :) It surprised me, that you didn´t mention our national drink:"beer" :P And if Fins really drink a lot of milk than we Germans drink the same amount of beer:D Just kidding of course;) Because if we were drunk all the time, we probably wouldn´t have a functioning social market economy as you metioned in your post :) You mentioned the two very successful Spanish football clubs:" FC Barcelona and Real Madrid" But we are always right after them because we have FC Bayern Munich :D
So thank you for your overview of Finland, Spain and Germany. You did a good job :)

  3. When i read the thoughts of the Finnish people about what they know about Germany, I have to say that you are absolutely right. Of course Germany had an important role in the past because of Martin Luther , but we also have a lot of other important things in Germany as you already mentioned. Germany has a few of the biggest car companies in the world like VW or Mercedes. And that's also the reason why German people love cars ;) . Maybe some of you saw during your stay here in Germany , that we are always punctual and well organised. And yes it's right that the Germans like drinking beer or eating sausages and maybe you saw that as well while your were here. So i can say that you were right with your thoughts about Germany and therefore well done! :)
    Greetings Dennis

After reading the comments it seems that the Spanish students know a lot about German culture and the clichés attached to it. I must admit, as all of the Spanish students mentioned, that Germans do love to drink beer, eat German food like sausages or “Vesper” (we eat it in the evening with bread and different toping’s) and watch soccer. As a German I know soccer plays a huge role here and almost every guy plays it in a club and we’re very proud that we won the world cup in 2014 for the fourth time.
In my experience most people in Germany are very punctual (sometimes it’s a bit annoying) and hard-working. I think that’s one reason why, for example, the German car industry is so well known all over the world. I also have to admit that I didn’t know that fun parks in Germany are so famous but they’re hopefully worth a visit.
I think you were very right about the Germans and I really enjoyed reading your comments. Well done!
    Greetings from Germany, Anne-Katrin

We have laughed a lot reading your articles about Spain, but we would like to specify some details.
Many people think all Spaniards like bullfighting but that's not right. Actually, many Spanish people have problems with this topic, because they don't like bullfighting at all. There are many organisations in Spain against this.
Another matter is that many foreigners think that in Spain is always sunny and hot, but it's not true. It's cold in winter, specially in the mountainous areas and in the North of Spain. What it is true is that we have lots of good beaches.
And finally, Spanish people not only listen to flamenco music. We have got many rock bands, such us Extremaduro (wich comes from our region, Extremadura).
There is another real truth you say in your articles: seafood is really good in our coast.
    Kind regards from Spain.

Hello partners! You say in your topics many real things about Spain, but we would like to point out some "exagerated clichés". It is true that all over the world it is said Spanish people are lazy. Well.... it's not true! We work hard, and we have several famous companies, like Inditex (Zara), known in many countries.
It's not true, either, that it's always warm and sunny in Spain. We have low temperatures in the North of Spain, sometimes even during summer. We have mountains, like Sierra Nevada (in Granada, in the South) or the Pyrenees (in the North) where people go skiing and climbing.
We invite you to know all these places.

  7. Hello Germany, Spain and Finland! Thank you for all your opinions about our country- Poland. Some of clichés are so funny but not everything is true. For example we are not as religious as you think (mostly elderly polish people are). The second thing about drinking alcohol. Yes, we drink a lot, but not for a dinner! :D It's sad to hear that we don't smile too often. We hope that during Erasmus week we changed your mind ;) You're totally right that our language is so weird and hard to learn :( Even polish people make lots of mistakes.
Greetings from Poland! :) - Julia, Iga & Sandra

Jajaja I read all the comments. Some of them about our country made me laugh a lot! You have some curious ideas about Spanish people (a few of them are true).
I would like to point out that Spain is not always "sun" and "hot". In the north it's often rainy and pretty cold; but also here, in the inland, we have extremely cold winters.

  9. Hey Sandra, Iga & Julia!

Yes it's true that during the Erasmus week in Germany and in Finnland the polish people were really open minded and of course they smiled very often. So I can agree that the polish people are really open minded and happy people. Did some chlichés change during the Erasmus week about German people? :)

    Greetings from Gemany:)

  10. Hey, i read our own article about Finland. I was in Finland during our Erasmus week and some of our thoughts are true. For example about the weather. It was really cold when we were in Finland ( one time -26°C) and honestly it was too cold for the German people. My next point is that the finish language is really weird and difficult to learn. We weren't able to learn any sentences in Finnish...just a few little words;). And we had lots of fun and a great time in Finnland and therefore we can also say that the finish people are very friendly and open minded and we had a lot of fun during our trip to Finland.

All in all i can say that most of our thoughts about Finland were true but i also got much more experiences during my trip.

    Greetings from Germany:)

  11. Hello! First of all, I want to congratulate to people who contributed with their reports. They give very interesting information. They look great!!!

In my opinion, what can be more surprising is free University in Finland, but we have to think that the tax burden that they have can be higher than in other countries, and also the way the taxes are used are different in each country. For example, for some countries, the army is more important, and for others is it university education.

We can extract from the reports that not all the countries have the same purchasing power. The crisis is affecting all countries, but maybe the countries that have higher purchasing power have noticed it less. Surely, for countries with lower purchasing power, the crisis has affected then the most. For example, in my country, the crisis is affecting harder in Extremadura, which has less industrial development, than in other areas as País Vasco and Cataluña with a better industrialization. So, the countries with lower purchasing power, not only are further away to recover from the crisis, but also they will have to make more effort to get recovered because they are less able to invest.

For this reason, the actions that should be undertaken in the different countries for recovering from the crisis should be different, and they should be expected different results. For example, actions to promote entrepreneurship in Finland and Poland should be different and also they cannot be expected the same results.

    Best regards,

    Clara

  12. Hi , My name is Miriam and I´m a student from Germany.
I love the spain traditions, the spirited and the culture.
But do you think that it is possible that the strong pride of the spain population can influence the election results.Maybe some of the people make decisions and consider only whether the decision does hurt their pride .
